ACT Prep

The ACT rewards speed, breadth, and sharp reasoning across four distinct sections. Our prep is built around the exam's unique format — including the Science section that trips up even strong students — so nothing on test day comes as a surprise.

Learning Goals

What Students Walk Away With

Our goal isn't just a higher score — it's a student who understands the material deeply enough that the score reflects their real ability.

📈

Composite Score Growth

Consistent practice and targeted instruction across all four sections leads to a stronger composite score and a more competitive college application.

🔬

Science Section Confidence

Students learn that the ACT Science section tests reasoning, not recall — and develop the skills to work quickly and accurately through any passage type.

📖

Reading Speed & Accuracy

Strategies for moving efficiently through four passage types without sacrificing comprehension or accuracy.

⏱️

Section Timing Mastery

The ACT is one of the most time-pressured standardized tests. Students finish sessions with a clear, practiced pacing plan for every section.

Session Format

What a Typical Session Looks Like

Each session is 90 minutes and follows a consistent structure so students always know what to expect.

1

Check-In

0–5 min

Review recent practice results and identify which section or question type is the highest-impact focus for this session.

2

Targeted Concept Work

5–20 min

Instructions and practice for a specific skill — a grammar rule, math concept, science reasoning strategy, or reading approach — will be taught before engaging in timed practice.

3

ACT-Style Timed Practice

20–60 min

Timed practice using official ACT questions, followed by a guided practice in critical areas so that the student understands the reasoning behind each answer.

4

Grade and Review

60–90 min

Instructors will grade and return tested assignments and modules for review.

5

Between-Session Practice Plan

Before you go

A specific set of practice questions or a timed section drill to complete independently before the next session.

Students who want to take both the SAT and ACT can work with us on a combined prep plan — we'll help identify which exam is the better fit early on.
